Categories
All choir groups in their different categories are invited: Children choirs, youth or adults choirs , religious, community choirs, Institutes or Universities, professional choirs, amateurs, chamber choirs, ensembles or vocal groups. Individual singers can also participate under special conditions (please ask the organization).
Choirs wishing to participate in this edition of “Corearte Mexico 2024” must submit the contact form , a brief resume of the choir and its conductor, a recent recording of two pieces of the choir’s repertoire (from a performance or rehearsal) and a recent photo of the group and its conductor.
This event is NON COMPETITIVE.
Workshops
The choral singing workshops are one of the focus activities for Corearte. These give participants the opportunity to work with internationally renowned teachers and share rehearsals with other participants.
Workshops are held in 4 sessions during the morning. A final rehearsal will take place before the closing concert of the Festival, where the music taught in the workshops will be performed.
General information about Choir Festival Mexico
Festival activities will begin on Tuesday, December 3rd at 3:00 PM, so groups are encouraged to arrive before that time.
This program is provisional and subject to be modified.

Breakfast and Corearte Mexico 2024 farewell
The stages where concert performances will be held are chosen for their acoustic quality and their cultural and/or architectural significance, thus providing participating choirs an opportunity to sing in landmark places of Mexico, including: The National Autonomus University of Mexico (UNAM), Teotihuacan, among others.
The Organization, Corearte, provides an electronic piano or keyboard, depending on the location.
If the choir needs other instruments they must be provided by themselves. Some locations do not allow the amplification of instruments, please ask the Organization.
Prices and deadlines Choir Festival Mexico
There are two participation options
6 days
Tuesday 3rd to Sunday 8th of December
Registration in double room: 600 USD
Participation in the festival with accommodation in double room with private bathroom in a 3 star hotel.
Registration in shared room: 425 USD
Participation in the festival with accommodation in shared room (bunk beds) in hostel with shared bathrooms (subject to availability).
Registration in both room types includes accommodation on a half-board (from dinner on Tuesday, December 3rd, to breakfast on Sunday, December 8th).
The registration fee is per person and in US Dollars.
4 days
Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th of December
Registration in double room: 360 USD
Participation in the festival with accommodation in double room with private bathroom in a 3 star hotel
Registration in shared room: 255 USD
Participation in the festival with accommodation in shared room (bunk beds) in hostel with shared bathrooms (subject to availability).
Registration in both room types includes accommodation on a half-board (from dinner on Thursday, December 5th, to breakfast on Sunday, December 8th).
The registration fee is per person and in US Dollars.
The registration fee must be paid in three installments. These must be paid according to the following deadlines:
First Installment 100 USD before July 15th, 2024 (one hundred American Dollar)
Second Installment 100 USD before September 15th, 2024 (one hundred American Dollar)
Third Installment: remaining balance upon arrival, meaning:
- Option 6 days
400 USD double room – 225 USD shared room
December 3rd, at check-in - Option 4 days
160 USD double room – 55 USD shared room
December 5th, at check-in
Along with the last payment (upon arrival) all extra expenses requested by every participating person must be paid, such as extra days, transportation, transfers, etc.
The registration fee will be waived for musical directors of participating choirs composed by more than 30 singers. This gratuity will be considered for one director per choir only, and applies just to the registration fee (255 USD; 360 USD; 425 USD or 600 USD ).
The gratuity applies to the same room type reserved by the majority of the choir. If the director prefers to stay in a different accommodation type, the rate difference (if any) must be paid.
This gratuity will only be confirmed if all choir members make their payments on time according to the deadlines.

- Transportation during the Festival (please coordinate with the organization)
- Entrance fees for museums, visits and other cultural or recreational activities not included on the festival program
- Drinks
- Insurance: The festival organization has mandatory liability insurance for the event but takes no responsibility in case of any accidents and/or illnesses that may occur to participants during the event. Therefore, a travel and health insurance is mandatory for every participant.
- After September 15th, 2024 in case of cancellation, the registration fee is partially refundable (100 US Dollars)
- A cancellation can be replaced by a new member of the choir or new companion.
